Layne is HERE!!!!!!

ok, he's here. we had him on tuesday night at 9:17. he weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 20 inches long.

finally able to see him. it made me want
to cry but i knew he was gonna be just fine.

when he was born, he had the cord wrapped around his neck really tight and he swallowed/inhaled quite a bit of fluids. so he was on oxygen to help him breathe, and he needed an I.V. to help with his circulation b/c of the cord being so tight on his neck. it didn't take him too long to figure out the breathing thing and he was able to get off of it. but they still had to monitor his saturation levels to be sure. and of course, he was fine! we came home on saturday to a VERY happy little girl! i'm sure she thought her mommy and daddy had abandoned her! although, with a grandma like sheila, she would have been FINE! haha! we've just been taking it easy, trying to figure out some sort of routine. especially with harvest coming up next week. don't know how i'm gonna do this...but i know i'll have lots of help! kenzie is coping really well i think. i'm trying to focus most of my attention on her so she doesn't feel left out, but it's pretty funny when layne is hungry b/c kenzie freaks when i breastfeed him! it makes me want to laugh so bad!!! all she does is stare now, but the first couple of times she saw that, she seriously cried and tried to make me stop! and when he cries, she tries to grab him from me, almost like she wants to take care of him herself so he won't cry. she can't walk past him w/o rubbing his head. she loves on him so much! it's so cute! she'll get used to everything and eventually she is gonna be an awesome helper! already i can tell she wants to help but doesn't understand how.

i feel so blessed to have two really cute babies! and seeing shane with both of them melts my heart! he has really been helping a lot. when i have to feed layne, he is always there making sure kenzie is included and holding her and loving on her and keeping her happy! i've tried doing all that while feeding him...yeah, it don't work....

i think i'm healing up pretty nicely! i went to lyndsey's baby shower yesterday, probably shouldn't have, but with the drugs, i feel ok. haha!!! i was so sad though! i was able to go and eat, and then layne had to eat. so i fed him. then kenzie was having a breakdown for mama....so by the time i got back out to the party, it was over! haha! oh well. it was a nice party. a lot of people came and everyone had a good time.

i'll put up more pictures later. i have taken quite a few just haven't had a chance to get them on my computer yet. i could do that right now i guess but i'm not. haha! i gotta get a nap. still haven't made up for not sleeping in the hospital. (what is WRONG with me, right??) so, until next time!
