so, shane has a school trip coming up this week. how much fun is it going to be staying at home waiting for him to get back??? .....ZERO. that's right, no fun at all. as i was telling mom about this over the phone, she asked, ''well, why don't you just come home for a week? problem solved.'' so, thinking this over for 2.7 seconds, i said ''yeah! that'd be awesome!!!'' shane also really liked the idea, that way he ''doesn't have to worry about you guys'' being at home all alone. haha! so, mom and dad are paying for me to fly home the 7th - the 14th. that is 7 WHOLE days of awesome SC family time! yeah! life is GRAND!!! and they said it gets up to the 50's during the day! oh yeah baby, talk about a heat wave! can't wait!
so, as we're basking in the glow of soon-to-be travel plans, kenzie decides she doesn't feel good. upon taking her to the dr yesterday, they tell us she has strep, but not to worry, (out comes the biggest needle i never want to see go into my daughter!!!!) after this dose of penicillin she will be just fine! haha! um, ouch! so, shane and i hold kenzie down on the table, they inject the thick stuff, which takes about 5 mins, and boom, she's better! seriously. as soon as the needle was out, she got back up, held onto shane's shirt and started smiling again. (she gets her strength from him, b/c i was still down there crying FOR her!!!!) i can tell her throat still hurts her but she is doing so much better! she's down for a nap today, going on 2 hours, and this makes me happy! yesterday she slept 3 times for all of 15mins each. i love today!!!! so now i can pack up and finish doing things around the house to get ready to go! i'm so loving this day!!
sorry no pictures. i really don't have new ones. but i sure will when i return from my trip! my mom is about to wet her pants she is so excited!! oh, and some more good news!!!!!! my niece zoey, my mom and aunty olivia are all coming out here in april!! joey said it's fine for zoey to come if she is with my mom! so we're going to have a full house in april! can't wait! of course, when jennifer told zoey that me and kenzie were going home on sunday, zoey said, ''oh, does that mean i don't need to go to idaho in april?'' haha! (she is still coming!)
don't get me wrong, i'm going to miss shane so bad! but i think i'm getting the sweet end of this deal. he's going to be riding on a bus all over california while i'm chillin with my family, eating good southern food and 'talkin story' all day long!! haha! poor shane! at least we'll have the webcam we can talk to each other every night! i know kenzie's going to miss her ''Da-Da''. but this way she can still talk to him every day!
ok, so i'm going to go continue packing so shane will know i did something today! YAY!!

Looks like you're swappin places with my mom though she has to go back to SC on the 11th. If you make it to Utah while your mom is here- you're always welcome at our house!!!!
