So, again, according to her doctor, Makenzie is "Perfect, absolutely perfect." He doesn't want to see her again til her 2 month mark! Yay! The murmur is still there but he says as soon as her heart gets a little bigger, it should be able to handle her blood flow without making so much noise. All it is is fast blood moving through small veins/arteries...I don't know which. Dr. Blake said his wife has a bad murmur but it doesn't affect her at all. This is why it was good to get the echo-cardiogram, it told us that there is nothing wrong with her heart!
She weighed in at a whopping 8lbs. 3oz.!!! I mean, she almost gained a whole pound in one week! I was afraid I wasn't making enough milk for her but when I mentioned that to Dr. Blake he just laughed and said with her weight gain there is no way I'm not producing enough! (We just love Dr. Blake! He is so funny and tells it like it is! And he says Makenzie is a beautiful baby girl!!!) Although I'm sure he says that to everyone!! Haha!
We're going shopping tonight. Shane said last night that he wants to take Makenzie out for a night on the town! Haha, no, he just wants some food! And he wants to get us out of the house! I just love Shane so much. He is the reason I stay grounded. Without him I swear I would have lost my mind long, long ago... He gets up with me and Makenzie when he wakes up. Most of the time I try not to wake him b/c I get to stay home and nap if I need to, and I'm not the one working with heavy machinery that could kill me if I fall asleep. You know?! ...and he wonders why I don't wake him up...sheesh. I mean, what would I do if he falls asleep at the wheel...feel VERY BAD! Ok, let me get off my soapbox....
Makenzie is a really good baby, she only wakes up twice at night. Which for us is only really once. We feed her at 11 or 12 and then she's up again at 3 or 4. Then she sleeps til after Shane is gone to work. I just fed her at 8:30 so I've got a couple hours to do some stuff. Just showered and washing some clothes. And she actually likes the vacuum. I guess it's kinda like white noise and it lulls her to sleep. Haha, I can imagine doing that at 3 or 4 in the morning! Shane would definitely wake up then!
Ok, well I gotta run! I still need to eat breakfast and drink about a gallon of water!

It sounds like mommyhood is going well. I'll bet you're excited to see your mom.
It so nice that she is such a good sleeper. I can't wait to hear all about the fun you have with your Mom.
