X-Box 360...

I think I'm a pretty good wife. I mean, I'm not always whining and complaining about everything, and I usually let Shane do just about anything he wants. So, when I found out we were getting a pretty big refund, I suggested (to the delight of my husband) that we get an X-Box 360, something he has been wanting since we got married. And I figured 5 months into our marriage it would be something fun...that was 4 1/2 hours ago...He has been playing Call of Duty 4, a game about spies and espionage and lots, I mean LOTS of shooting! It was nice for a little while. We also bought Halo3 for my pleasure. You see, it's a 2-player game, unlike Call of Duty4. That one is just for Shane. In all fairness though, we did play Halo3 for a little while, I'm just suffering from allergies and had to stop b/c my eyes wouldn't stop watering and it was getting pretty annoying. Now that I'm feeling better though, I really wish he would stop. He keeps telling me, "I'll stop if you want me to." "Just say the word and I'll stop." But at the same time he has this maniacal gleam in his eyes as he's shooting the crap out of the people on the game...what to do, what to do...
Honestly, it's a really cool game, I just don't want to have to compete with this game for my husband's affection. Hopefully it won't get that far. I guess we'll see. Just right now, it sucks to be me. I'm not regretting buying it but it just seems like he's getting a lot more pleasure out of it than I thought. (Seeing as he has just spent the last 4 1/2 hours of his life in from of the T.V.) I'm lonely. I'm just going to get my pint of Chocolate Hagen Daiz Ice Cream and eat my pains away. That's whats wrong with me now. (Darn ice cream!) If he spent half the amount of time on me as he has so far on this game...(haha) I'm not being far though, he's awesome and he did stop his game just to get me some Visine for my eyes which I really was happy for. (Maybe I should have tossed the game out the window while he was gone. What was I thinking??)
I've decided in the last 2 seconds that I'm going to go outside and enjoy what is left of a beautiful day! We were going to wash and detail Shane's truck...but his love of the game threw that right out the window. Maybe I'll go start and he'll realize he has a problem and put the damn controller down!!! We'll see...

Hey, Jess!!!

I think that something should "accidentally" happen to his Xbox. For example, what if some scissors just happened to cut the cords? Scissors have minds of their own...

hahahahahhaa...this is pretty funny. Isaac said that it's not a big deal, it's just an Xbox.
You are a sweet wife, but a new one, I would never have bough that game.haha

i agree with cindy. you gotta train them from day one girl. you just say "all husbands blank blank blank." like when blake was born i had to explain that changing every other diaper was his job, all dads do it, and he doesn't know any better. haha! good luck!
